I called him over ten times before he finally
answered.
“I’m busy! Stop bothering me!!! Storm is also injured, Londyn can’t handle everything on her
own!”

A childish voice echoed through the phone.

softened, and without hesitation, he hung up, leaving me alone, helpless, beside my severely injured daughter.

The sound of high heels clicking sharply on the floor pulled me from my thoughts.
Londyn, dressed in white casual clothes, her dark hair pulled into a low bun, looked like she was on the verge of breaking.
