Felix said the girl was too demanding, too controlling, always wanting him to cater to her whims.
They had managed to stay together for four months, but in the end, he got tired of it.
They also said that Felix kept comparing that girl to me, saying she wasn’t as good as I was.
I listened quietly, not commenting. When they finished, I simply said, “I need to go to sleep.”
Before bed, I received a call from Felix.

It was very quiet on his end. I could hear the sound of wind.
After a while, he finally spoke: “Still dating?”
I leaned against the wall and made a sound of agreement.
His voice sounded a bit tired through the phone: “Is that Mason guy really that good?”
I laughed and replied: “At least he buys me strawberry cakes.”
Felix didn’t say anything else. After two seconds of silence, he hung up.
After that, Felix and I didn’t talk anymore.
In contrast, my relationship with Mason progressed rapidly. He knew exactly how to make me happy.
When I went to the library to study, he would remember to bring me milk tea and prepare materials for me.
On rainy days, he would unfailingly appear in front of my classroom building.
On my 21st birthday, Mason threw me a big birthday party. All my friends were there, including Felix, of course.
It had been a long time since I’d seen him, and I almost didn’t recognize him.
He sat at the bar, looking much thinner, holding a glass of wine and gazing at me hazily.
Everyone suggested playing Truth or Dare. It started off fine, but things got awkward when it was Felix’s turn.
At first, they asked him, “Do you have someone you like?”
