He glared at me. “You think I’m afraid to
break up with you?”
I just said, “We broke up. This is my hospital
room. Please leave.”
“Fine,” he said, giving me a hard look. “Don’t
regret this, Jenny!”
“Ashley, let’s go.” He put his arm around her
and left without looking back.
Ashley gave me a smug look before she left,
mouthing, “I won.”
I would have been upset once.
This time, I didn’t care.
Г
Justin kept texting me.
He said if I regretted breaking up, I could
come back.
Lignored him.
He wouldn’t stop.
“Jenny, you don’t have much money. Your
hands are hurt. Life will be hard without me.
Come back, and I’ll give you whatever you
want.”
My fingers went white. I squeezed my phone.
I was so mad, I just blocked him.
He knew I didn’t have money and I couldn’t
く
He was trying to buy me.
But Justin was the one who broke my hands.
He caused all of this!
Now, he was using it against me.
I hated him. I hated that I had ever loved him.

I didn’t want to go back to the house I shared
with Justin.
But my things were there. Even photos of my
mom and me.
I had to get them.
く
I called a moving company.
Justin came home at the worst time.
He knew what was happening right away.
“Jenny, what are you doing?” he demanded.
“Moving out. Can’t you see?”
He took a breath. “Are you sure you want to
do this?”
I nodded. “Yes.”
Justin smirked. “Enough, Jenny. This tantrum
has gone on long enough.”
He was always so arrogant.
L
He thought that no matter what he did, I’d
come crawling back.
I used to be so in love with him.
That’s what gave him the idea.
“Breaking up with you, blocking you, moving
out… You think that’s just a tantrum?”
“Isn’t it?” He reached out to pat my head.
I moved away.
His hand froze. He looked confused, like he
didn’t know what was happening.
My eyes were cold. I was looking at him like a
stranger.
