Jack then said carelessly: “Don’t talk nonsense, I have a girlfriend.”
The man only then realized the situation and smiled awkwardly.
After a few rounds of drinks, he suddenly turned to look at me, his eyes mischievous: “How come I never noticed, you’ve become so beautiful.”
His gaze made me uncomfortable, so I didn’t want to respond much.
I just smiled politely at him.
But he wouldn’t let it go, and even grabbed my arm: “Jack has a girlfriend now, but I don’t. Why don’t you let me pursue you?”
I was a bit scared, but couldn’t free my hand.
Almost instinctively, I looked across for help.
The dim lighting made it hard to see Jack’s expression clearly.
“Let go, you’re drunk!”
The smell of alcohol was still close to me.
Just as I was feeling desperate, Jack stood up, grabbed a bottle, and smashed it on the man’s head: “Dare to touch her and see what happens?”
The man cried out in pain, pointing at Jack and cursing: “Jack! I don’t mind picking up your leftovers, but you’re the one getting upset first?”
Several people held Jack back, preventing the man from getting hit a second time: “She’s been part of the Wilson family since she was little, of course her affairs are my business!”
The man fled in panic, while Jack still had red eyes: “Who the hell invited him here?”
I calmed myself down and was about to go to the restroom to fix my clothes.
Sophia suddenly linked arms with me: “Jack, calm down. I’ll accompany Emily to the restroom.“
