Beth was crying, saying how hard it was for
her to raise her kid. She said she was being
harassed by her kid’s teacher, but she
couldn’t say anything.
Mark’s reputation got even worse. The people
started to turn on him. They were trying to
avoid him.
His house was vandalized with graffiti. His
windows were smashed.
He was a mess, calling Beth, but she had
blocked him. He still wanted to talk to her.
He went out, trying to find her. He found Beth
eating with Jake. Jake saw him.

“Mom, it’s Mr. Mark!”
“Jake, don’t go there.”
Beth said coldly. “People like him are bad
luck.”
Mark was desperate. He grabbed Beth. “Beth,
please don’t say that. I know you’re angry
that I ruined your job.”
“Are you freaking kidding me?!”
Beth pushed him. “I’m telling you, stay away
from me. I’ve had enough of your harassment.
You make me sick!”
Mark was confused. “I just want to make it
up to you. I don’t mean anything else.”

“Whatever!”
Beth said impatiently, “My mom got into a
car accident when she was going to play
mahjong, not because she was apologizing to
you. You don’t need to make it up to me. Just
stay away.”
Mark was in shock, shaking. “Are you lying to
me?”
“How is that a lie? You believe everything I
say?”
Beth laughed. “I just wanted you to help my
kid since he was in your class.”
“Beth.”
Mark’s face turned white. “I skipped Lily’s

funeral to help Jake. Are you telling me you
lied to me?”
“Don’t be so dramatic.”
Beth stared at him. “Your daughter is dead, it
won’t matter if you show up at her funeral. I
just wanted you to help my son, but I never
told you to curse your own daughter and tell
her to go die.”
She paused and mimicked Lily crying on the
tape. “Mom, I’m sorry. I’ll do better on the
next test.”
“Mom, it hurts. I think I’m going to die.”
“Mark, you killed your own daughter. You
can’t blame anyone. You are just stupid.”

She laughed, and said that Mark was stupid
and a mess.
“Right, Jake?”
Jake nodded. “Mr. Mark is stupid!”
Every word was a sharp knife that cut
through Mark. He started to shake and fell to
his knees.
Beth laughed. “I don’t have any money for
you. You are just a rat in the gutter. You are lucky that anyone will give you a look.”
Jake clapped. “Mr. Mark is a rat! Step on the
rat! Step on the rat!”
His laughter was like an insult.

“Beth! You deserve to die!”
Mark’s eyes were bloodshot. He grabbed her
neck.
Beth screamed and grabbed a glass cup and
hit him with it. Mark was bleeding, but he still
wouldn’t let go.
The people at the restaurant started to scream. Someone said, “That’s the guy who told his kid to go die!”
Jake used a fork to stab Mark in the back. He
was crying, “You hurt my mom! I’ll kill you!”
Mark started to cry. He looked at Jake.
He tried so hard to help this child, but this is
what he got in return.

He let go of Beth, and she pushed him away,
throwing things at him.
“Monster! Murderer! You deserve to die!”
Jake was also kicking him. “I’ll kill you!”
Mark hugged his head and begged for
forgiveness. He grabbed Jake’s leg and
knocked him over.
Jake’s head hit the ground and he started
crying.
This whole thing was recorded and put on the
internet. I was able to see Mark, running
away.
Someone called the police. Jake was sent to
the hospital. Beth was on live stream again,

crying about how Mark was trying to get
revenge on them.
“Jake is so young, but he’s his student! How
could he do this?”
“He doesn’t care that his daughter died. He
doesn’t want any other kids to live.”
“How can there be a teacher like this?!
Please, police, you have to help us!”
