Overseas at Drake’s villa, Liza linked arms with Cathryn, leading her to a guest room on the second floor.
“I had this room prepared for you. Make yourself at home here,” Liza said.
Looking at the luxurious decorations inside, Cathryn hesitated. “But this is the Lowe family’s house. It doesn’t feel right for me to stay here.”
“What are you afraid of? You’re my best friend. Not only can you stay here, but you could even stay at my place. My dad wouldn’t say a thing. Besides, Drake insisted on having you stay here. I didn’t order him to do it.” Liza showed a disdainful look at the mention of
Drake.
“He is the CEO of the Lowe Group and your fiancé. You should respect him,” Cathryn. advised.
“Respect him? With his background, he doesn’t even fit to lick my boots,” Liza scoffed. “I don’t know what my dad was thinking, arranging for me to marry someone like Drake.”

“Don’t forget, Drake was just a lowlife from the slums. Your father only kept him around because of Marion. Climbing up the social ladder won’t change the low–class blood running through his veins,” Liza sneered, unaware that Drake was standing right behind
her.
Annoyed by her speech, Kale moved forward to confront her, but Drake held him back.
Cathryn noticed Drake’s presence and quickly tugged at Liza’s arm.
“Why are you pulling me?” Liza turned around and saw Drake.
Instead of showing any sign of panic, she lifted her chin defiantly. “What are you looking at? Isn’t what I said the truth?”
“Liza…” Cathryn tried to intervene.
“Don’t pull me,” Liza huffed. “Marion might have come from the slums too, but he’s the heir to the Houston family. He’s barely good enough for Cathryn. You, however, are just a clown. I don’t know why my dad wants me to marry you.”
Kale grunted, “Miss Eaton, please mind your words.”
“And who are you to talk to me? I can tell my dad to cut off your tongue and feed it to the dogs,” she snorted.
