The video showed me carrying flowers and a lunchbox, walking toward Vanessa Larkson.
I wiped the sweat off her forehead and carefully adjusted her outfit.
But her gaze never seemed to settle on me.
The scene shifted. On–screen, I was pleading with her to stay, but she didn’t hesitate for a moment before turning her back on me, walking away without a trace of emotion.
In hindsight, from the perspective of an observer, I did look like a pathetic pushover.
Brielle Whitmore glanced at me, concern written all over her face. “They must see you as a threat. That’s why they’re using such underhanded tactics. Don’t let it mess with your focus.”
I nodded lightly, my mind already made up.
After all this preparation, I wasn’t about to let a few malicious rumors throw me off track.
Before I could address the situation, Vanessa showed up in person.
“Logan, I’m sorry,” she said, her tone filled with remorse. “I didn’t realize how much you’ve done for me.”
“I was wrong before. I should’ve set clearer boundaries with my friends.”
“I gave Griffin the roses because he suggested we use the couple dynamic to attract sponsors. You would’ve gotten a share of the earnings,
too.”
“And that bouquet of lisianthus–it symbolizes unchanging, sincere love,” she added, her voice trembling with emotion. “I love you, Logan. Let’s start over. I’ll keep my distance from Griffin.”
She looked at me with hope, waiting for me to soften.
But I met her gaze steadily, pulling my hand out of hers without hesitation.
“It’s too late, Vanessa. Everything you’re saying now… it’s all too late.”
Her face fell into despair, tears streaming down as she stared at me.
Finally, she seemed to accept reality. “Alright, I understand.”
After she left, I threw myself into intensive training with the team, cutting off all outside distractions.

With the tournament fast approaching, she was stretched too thin to focus on damage control and had to concentrate on managing the team’s logistics instead.
The situation spiraled over two days, with new accusations emerging.
A so–called “insider” claimed I had begged Vanessa to fake a couple narrative after our championship win, but she refused.
The story suggested that her decision to give the flowers to Griffin fueled my jealousy, leading to a rift between us and my eventual dismissal from the team.
The post painted me as someone who left out of spite after being rejected.
To make matters worse, Griffin accidentally liked the post, further fanning the flames and increasing the buzz.
Griffin’s fans pounced on the opportunity to ridicule me.
They called me a simp for Vanessa and mocked me for trying to steal her from a teammate.

Even more absurd were claims that I had stolen the jungler position from Griffin in the f

I scrolled through the comments, finding the entire ordeal laughable. I replied simply:
“Respect and congrats to the happy couple!”
Shortly after, the official account for Bm E–Sports shared my post and added:
“Birds of a feather flock together. Logan Hartman, Bm E–Sports will always have your back!”
