thoughts filled my mind.
“If killing my goddamn sister is what it takes to keep Ashton in my life, then I won’t hesitate to use this fucking sword to do it,” I snarled.
My grip tightened as I stabbed the blade into the ground, imagining it piercing into Kathryn’s stomach. Then, I forced myself to calm down. As I rose to my feet, determination took hold.
“Right. It’s time to do something. She needs to know her place.” I muttered.
With that, I set out to find Kathryn.
Kathryn’s Point of View
Thankfully, with Jethro’s help, I managed to find a job at a local apple farm. The owner was kind enough to offer me a small apartment with minimal rent, and while life was still tough, I was grateful. Slowly but surely, I was finding my footing and moving forward.

It was already five in the afternoon by the time I finished my tasks for the day.
On my way back to the apartment, Tiana suddenly appeared, stepping out of nowhere and blocking my path.
“I’ve finally found you,” She said, her voice low and her eyes seething with anger.
I tried to brush past her, keeping my head down and my pace steady, but as I expected, she wasn’t going to let me go that easily. Her hand shot out, grabbing my arm with force.
“What do you want?” I asked, my voice sharp.
“Mind sparing me a little of your precious time? I just need to tell you something,” She said with an exaggerated sweetness.
I rolled my eyes and glared at her. “Just spit out whatever nonsense it is, Tiana. I don’t have time for this.”
A smug smirk spread across her face as her

eyes flicked to the basket of apples in my hand. “Why? Too busy picking apples from trees? How pathetic.”
I clenched my jaw, but I refused to let her get to me. “And you? Too busy trying to keep my mate interested? How desperate,” I snapped back.
Her smirk faltered for a moment before her teeth gritted in frustration. Without warning, she snatched an apple from my basket and hurled it at me. It hit me squarely in the chest, the force of it making me take a step back.
“Next time, it won’t be an apple, Kathryn. It’ll be my fucking sword hitting your skin! Stay away from Ashton! Stop ruining our relationship! Ashton clearly loves me, and you’re the other woman tearing us apart!” She yelled like an entitled wife, her words so absurd that I couldn’t help but laugh.
“Have you completely lost your mind, Tiana?” I said, barely containing my amusement. “Let me remind you that I am

still Ashton’s fated mate. He’s literally begging me not to sever our bond. And -you’re the mistress. Desperate, pathetic, and thirsty for scraps of his attention. Check your facts and know your place.”
My words left her momentarily speechless, her mouth opening and closing like she was searching for a retort but finding none.
Then, snapping from the truth, Tiana lashed out. She kicked the basket I was holding with enough force to send every apple spilling to the ground.
“Guess what?” She spat, her voice rising in pitch. “I can manipulate Ashton any time I want! I can make him believe anything I tell him. I could come up with a thousand lies to ruin your reputation in his eyes, and he’d believe me!”
Her words struck a nerve, but not in the way she intended. Instead of anger, a sly grin spread across my face. I remembered her diary entries–the ones full of
confessions and schemes. Realizing that

she might let something even more incriminating slip, I decided to push her further.
“I don’t think you can do that, Tiana. Ashton isn’t that naive to believe a slut and a homewrecker like you. He’s simply there to use you in bed,” I stated coolly, watching her facade crack.
As expected, she stepped closer, her face alight with pride. “Are you sure about that? What if I told you I’ve already fed him countless lies–enough to make him despise you and hate you for years?”
I held her gaze, refusing to blink.
Go on, Tiana.
Expose yourself.
Spill every lie, every story you’ve concocted.
Ruin yourself.
“Aside from making him believe in Bryan’s fake illness, did you know how I convinced

him it was our father’s plan to lock him in and burn the storage room when he was a teenager? And then you came in like a hero. to ‘rescue‘ him, when in truth, it was your fire power that our father used to set the
room ablaze. You orchestrated the whole thing just so Alpha Philip would owe you and agree to mate Ashton with an Omega!”
I gasped, faking shock at her confession, but inside, I felt a sense of satisfaction.
“Really? You managed to make him believe that absurd lie? You don’t even have proof to support your accusations!” I said.
Tiana smirked, leaning in. “Who needs proof when showing him my naked body is enough to make him believe every word I say? Your fated mate is stupidly addicted to me, Kathryn.”
The diary entries were making perfect sense now. She was more than committed
to lying and manipulation–she thrived on
- it.

I wonder what other lies she had told Ashton.
What else has she done to get him?
And what else is she capable of?
Her smirk widened, but her eyes held a hint of unease.
“Shocking, right? Well, back off now, or I’ll make sure to completely ruin your life!” Tiana spat before spinning on her heel and storming away.
Once she was out of sight, I calmly reached into my pocket, pulling out my phone. I stopped the audio recording I’d started as soon as she had approached me.
“Bingo,” I murmured, a triumphant smirk tugging at my lips.
