I successfully divorced Isaac. Maria was also kicked out with nothing to her name. After being beaten by Hugh and shunned by everyone, she had nowhere else to turn but to Isaac.
But Isaac was as good as broke. He could barely support himself, let alone take care of her. Plus, after Maria had kicked Isaac in the leg, it had caused permanent damage. His leg healed crooked, and he walked with a limp, looking almost like a cripple.
Isaac was bitter, and Maria wasn’t exactly friendly either. When Luna came to collect the house, she told me that while they lived together, they were constantly fighting, and their place was a
mess.
The stillborn baby was brought back by Maria, and it quickly decomposed, filling the house with a terrible stench.
Maria’s mental state began to deteriorate, and she acted increasingly erratic. Once, a video of her losing control went viral online, earning her a bit of money.
That was when Isaac finally found a way to make money. He stopped treating Maria’s mental health and instead made her livestream for hours on end, trying to gain sympathy from viewers and get donations.

stand seeing Maria get by, so she hired people to cause a scene at their place and exposed their dirty laundry online. People were outraged and stopped supporting them.
Their lives fell apart again. Although Isaac couldn’t earn money due to his injury, Maria was still young and beautiful. Isaac cleaned her up and sent her out to work as an escort.
But because of the dead baby, their house was in terrible condition, and the landlord refused to rent to them again. Isaac and Maria moved several times, and although Maria managed to earn a little money, she contracted AIDS and was beaten by a client.
Isaac grew more impatient with her, and eventually, he considered killing her. But he was too scared to go through with it. With Hugh having already sold his house and left, Isaac dumped Maria in front of my house.
He said to Maria, “If Laura had agreed to exchange that stillborn baby with you, you’d be living comfortably now as a rich wife. It’s all Laura’s fault. Go kill her! If you kill her, you can have the life you’ve always wanted.”
Coincidentally, I was home that day, and I saw everything through the front door camera. Isaac quickly ran off, leaving Maria to go mad, banging on my door and shouting while holding a knife, threatening to chop me.
I didn’t respond. Instead, I called the police and presented the footage to accuse Isaac of attempting to hire a hitman.

Both Isaac and Maria were taken for questioning. Before they left, Isaac shouted that he would kill me and make me suffer just like he
had.
He shouted, “Wait until I get out. I’ll make you die in an accident. Then, this little girl will have no choice but to live with me, her real father. I’ll make her work as an escort to earn money for me. Laura, this is all your fault!”
I was stunned by Isaac’s shamelessness. Without hesitation, I presented the recording of him and Nova conspiring to have me killed on the operating table and charged him with attempted murder.
Isaac was sentenced to life imprisonment, spending the rest of his life in prison.
I was shocked by how severe his sentence was. After some inquiries, I found out that, in addition to plotting against me, he had also conspired with Nova to poison Maria.
Nova was brought to justice, and Maria was sent to a psychiatric hospital. But somehow, she managed to escape and went on to kidnap a child in the street. People chased her down, and in her panic, she accidentally fell into a river.
When they pulled her out, she had been dead for over a month, her body completely swollen and unrecognizable.
