“You can’t make me apologize for something I had no hand in. Anything that Gabriella is going through right now, she brought up in herself,” I spat.
Dante gripped my wrist in a tight grasp and squeezed it until I felt that there might bet some bruising afterward. “If you never called her mate to that dinner, then she would have never lost her baby and her mate would never have started threatening to reject her.” His eyes narrowed into slits. as he spoke and everything about him. screamed danger, but I was never one to back down so easily.

As though my words angered him further, which they most likely did, Dante held onto my hand tighter and dragged me to our old bedroom where I saw Gabriella lying on what should have been our bed.
It was evident that she had lost her pup from how weak and frail she appeared, yet not a single atom in me felt any remorse for her.
“Apologize,” Dante ordered.
“No,” was my sharp reply.
With brute force, Dante forced me to my knees so that I was kneeling right in front of Gabriella like her slave. “Apologize,” he ordered one more time, this time harsher.

“You should have known the

I was ready to die before offering any apology to Gabriella and it seemed as though she heard my thoughts, because, without warning, Gabriella shifted into her wolf form and lunged at me.
Before Dante was able to stop her, she had already bitten a good chunk out of my arm.
I could have served her with as much pain as she served me if I had prepared or got enough time to shift, but unfortunately, I didn’t and I was already losing a lot of

Soon, my eyes began to flutter and the strength in my body began to leave me until I fell back and gave into the darkness only to wake up in the clinic with a healer beside me and when I turned my head to the other side, I saw a remorseful looking

That had to be one of the most pathetic things I had ever heard in my life.
“Leave,” I told him, feeling my vision begin to blur with tears.

that you would subject that little girl or boy to the same emotional abuse you subject me to and you say that it is only Gabriella that has been through a lot!”
By the time I was done with my mini–rant, my cheeks were already wet with teas and I could feel my eyes sting.
Dante opened his mouth to speak but then closed it again when no words came.
“This marks the end for both you and Gabriella. I’ll be sure to raise a case with the elders. So, I suggest that you make all your prayers to the moon goddess while you still can.”
