In my previous life, my sister insisted on marrying the son of the Stone family for a better life.
But six months after her marriage, the Stone family declared bankruptcy, and all the men in the family went to jail.
I followed my parents‘ arrangement and married a high school teacher from an average family.
After marriage, my husband quit his job and started a business, and our family went from average to wealthy.
But my sister became a mistress that everyone hated.
Later, she asked me for money, but I refused. So she pushed me down the stairs.
When I opened my eyes again, my sister said in tears, “Mom, I don’t want to marry the Stone family. Let me go on a blind date for
Lena.”
I was so happy. She actually wanted to marry a hypocritical mama’s boy?
At a glance, I knew that my sister was reborn like me.
In the last life, when she learned that I was going to have a blind date with a poor high school teacher, she couldn’t hide her smile. “Lena, you are my sister, but our fates are different. You are going to marry a poor guy, and I am going to marry a rich man.”
Sometimes I didn’t understand why Hanna was so malicious to me, her sister. And our parents were always partial to her.
So when she proposed to go on the blind date for me, my mom disagreed.
“Hanna, what nonsense are you talking about? You marry into the Stone family to enjoy life! Hank has a good job. But his mom is old, and you will inevitably have to take care of her if you marry him!”
So Hanna deserved to be happy when she got married, and I deserved to marry a poor man and be a nanny.
My mom noticed me after she said that. She glanced at me and said calmly, “Lena, I’m not partial to your sister. You know Hanna is in poor health, and she can’t bear any hardship.”
I nodded obediently, gently patted Hanna, who was crying, and persuaded. “Hanna, just listen to Mom. Let me go on this blind date.”
Hanna seemed to remember something. Her eyes were filled with unwillingness and resentment. Suddenly she pushed me away and yelled hysterically, “Lena, don’t even think about it! I will never make the wrong choice again this time!”
Then she dragged our parents into her room, leaving me alone outside.
I guess she must have told them that Hank would quit his job and start his own business in the near future and make a lot of money. She might even make a scene to convince our parents to let her go on the blind date.
Sure enough, when her room door opened again, Hanna looked like she was sure of winning. My dad coughed and said, “Lena, don’t go on the blind date. Get ready to marry into the Stone family.”
Logically speaking, the Stone family was not something my family could reach. But my grandfather and Sir Stone were once comrades–in–arms who had fought through life and death together.
So they arranged this marriage when we were kids. They said at the time that they would choose one between me and Hanna, but I knew that such a good thing would not be my turn.
In the previous life, Hanna boasted to me a lot.
Before it got dark, Hanna couldn’t wait to dress up and go on the blind date. To seize this opportunity, she even stayed out all night and slept with Hank the first time they met.
She thought that as long as she held on tightly to this man with potential, she could take away my life.
But she was too naive. My life had never depended on men.
In the previous life, the reason why I could live in a villa and drive a luxury car was because I had a business mind. And the potential
man she thought was just a mama’s boy.
Not only that, Hank didn’t resign in the previous life but was fired by the school.
In this new life, Hanna made the wrong bet, and she would only repeat the same mistakes.
Hanna and Hank got engaged in a hurry a few months after they met.
And the wedding date of Miles and me was also set.
I met Miles a few times in the previous life. He was handsome and tall. Otherwise, Hanna would not be obsessed with him.
It’s just that he was a little cold and taciturn.
But I didn’t care. Even if the Stone family was imprisoned in this life, I wouldn’t starve to death with my ability.
Just like in the previous life, the Stone family gave me two boxes of engagement gifts at the engagement party, which was in
contrast to the small engagement gifts Hank gave Hanna.
A relative sighed at the engagement party.
“They are sisters. But Hanna received far fewer engagement gifts than Lena.”

Hanna heard it. She pinched the corners of her clothes with a gloomy face and regained her spirit when she saw my faint smile.
“Lena, don’t be too happy too soon. Hank will start a business in half a year. Then I will be a real rich lady. But the Stone family may go bankrupt, and the whole family will go to jail in a while. If that day really comes, don’t forget to ask me for help.”
I smiled and stepped forward. “Hanna, don’t worry, that day will never come.”
Hanna glanced at me with contempt and sneered as if she were looking at a fool.
But she didn’t know that she was the real fool.
Hank looked gentle, but his moral character was not good. She would know it later.
Hanna’s wedding was only one month earlier than mine.
On the day of her wedding, I got up early and kept busy. I saw her sitting in the wedding car and went to that dilapidated old community.
I lived there for two years in my previous life.
The most common thing Hank said was, “My mom said…”
Every day I went out to run for business, and when I got home, I had to deal with him and his difficult mother, Maria.
Maria made trouble for me every day in the first year of my marriage.
She either said that the food I cooked was too salty or that she didn’t like it. She said I was extravagant when I cooked one meat and one vegetable.
Whenever she and I had any conflicts, Hank always stayed away.
Afterward, he would advise me with a stern face. “It’s not easy for my mom to raise me. Can’t you be more filial to her?”
I had never been a person who would swallow my anger, so I got angry on the spot.
“Your mom worked hard, so you should make it up to her.”
Later, I made money, and Hank had a scandal. Even if he and Maria had many opinions about me, they could only be respectful to
me in person.
I just didn’t know if Hanna had the ability to do so.
After Hanna got married, I was not idle either.
If the Stone family was unreliable, then I had to make plans for myself.
I took a lot of shortcuts with the experience of my previous life. I went to my partner from my previous life with the completed
proposal.
I waited for three days at the door of his company and finally met him.
With my self–recommendation, he took my proposal.
At first, he just flipped through it casually, and then he called me to the office to discuss it in detail.
When I came out of his office, it was completely dark, and I successfully got the first investment.
I rented a small studio with all my savings.
I took fewer detours and avoided previous mistakes. I could accurately choose the one with the most significant benefits from many projects. And the partners I chose were all reliable.
So in just one month, I had already made considerable profits.
As the wedding approached, I thought of the ending of the Stones in the previous life.
I didn’t know much. I only knew that they seemed to be suspected of illegal fundraising.
However, through my contact with them and my observation and inquiries during this period, I found that the Stone family was
doing business honestly.
Was there any hidden story?
