Chapter 5
When I got home, I put all Trevor’s stuff I had collected over the years up for sale in the rich fan group.
There were commemorative T–shirts from his early days, cards from his roadshows…
And there was his first album with a handwritten love letter and his signature.
Every piece was a one–of–a–kind collector’s item, and the fan group went
crazy.
“Take it back right now, or I’m calling an ambulance. I think you’re trying to kill yourself!”
Purchase completed
“Oh my, this album has the love letter Trevor wrote by hand. Hey, is everything okay at home?”
“Aaaaah! I’ll take it! It’s mine! Will you sell it for 16,000 dollars?”
I kept typing and deleting in the chat box, sighed, and finally sent at
message.
“Sorry, I’m done with Trevor. I’m quitting the fandom.
“I’ll sell everything within three days and ship it via FedEx.”
That very day, I made 850,000 dollars.
There was so much stuff that my hands ached from packing.

Thankfully, I didn’t have to worry about the money for my overseas treatment anymore.
That night, Trevor still didn’t come back. He just sent me a few messages.
“Stay home and have some rest. Don’t go out.”
“Nick will come to get some clothes later. Give him the suit you had made in Paris last March.”
“Be good and go to bed early. I’m in the practice room tonight.”
Trevor didn’t seem mad anymore.
He sounded like he used to.
I couldn’t figure it out. Now that Caroline was back with him, why did he still pretend to be so deeply in love with me?
Soon, Caroline shared a post on Twitter.
“You said you’d only stay by the moonlight and never look at any other lights.”
The link was to Trevor’s new album, Moonlight.
To Trevor, Caroline was like the bright, shining moon, while I was just some other light.
The post quickly went viral and made it to the trending list.
Trevor’s fans went wild in the comments. “Trevor said Moonlight is for all the fans! Who’s this girl acting like a big deal? So shameless!”
“She has only put out a few songs, and they’re terrible. Now she’s trying to piggyback on Trevor’s fame. Does she really want to be famous that

badly?”
“She should check the stalker who got slammed a few years ago. We fans. get super annoyed with idiots like this. It’s so annoying!”
Well, I was that “stalker.”
It was a crucial time for Trevor’s competition.
He was stressed and pushed himself way too hard.
I left his place in the middle of the night and got caught by the paparazzi waiting outside.
His agent back then made a group chat and suggested calling me a stalker.
Trevor called me on video.
His usually cold eyes were all red, like he had been crying.
He asked me in sign language, “You don’t want to, do you?”
He was giving me the choice.
But on the other side was the bright future of the person I cared about, and I had no reason to say no.
I comforted him, “No. I don’t mind.
“Even great singers need female fans, right?
“Besides, I can’t hear what they say anyway.”
I couldn’t hear them, but I could see.
I got labeled as a crazy fan who snuck into Trevor’s house, and everything I did was seen as creepy.
There was a ton of online hate. Some people even found my address, threw rotten eggs at my house, and sent me scary letters.
When Trevor won the annual championship of The Voice, I was freaked out by a knife that got thrown into my house, and I hid in the closet, hugging myself.

However, Trevor treated his beloved girl in a completely different way.
When Caroline’s post started trending, Trevor had just won Best Male Singer and was being interviewed.
The reporter asked, “Mr. Archer, someone said that your new album. Moonlight was written for her. Is that true?”
After a quick pause, Trevor said calmly, “Yeah. If it weren’t for Caroline, I might not have made it this far a few years ago.”
“It’s straight out of a romance novel. Your first hit song, How I Wish You Could Hear, was rumored to be written for a lover with hearing impairments.”
Trevor frowned and then said firmly, “It’s always been Caroline, and no one else.”
After seven years together, I was not even considered the “someone else.”
Public opinion quickly shifted in their favor. No one dared to mess with the
person the entertainment prince held in the palm of his hand.
Trevor probably thought I wouldn’t see all of this.
Because of the online bullying over the years, I rarely logged onto Twitter
anymore.

But then, some female fans started reaching out to me, crying and complaining, “I can’t take it. I’ve been crying all night. Were all those sweet words Trevor used to tell us just for show?”
Trevor’s talent was undeniable. Even though those female fans unfollowed him, he still had tons of fans who loved him for his skills.
I never expected to see Trevor when I got home.
