Chapter 99 I’m Here
In her first plane crash, Gwen had seen through Jake and discovered the truth about their marriage. From then onward, she woke up from the dream that making sacrifices would earn her love.

After all the twists and turns, she found herself still alone.
Staring at the shattered screen of her phone, she felt a wave of despondency wash over her, and tears began to blur her vision.
Outside, a fierce wind howled as a helicopter slowly descended, and a tall man in a well–fitted suit stepped out, radiating wealth and nobility.
His expression was serious, and it seemed that as soon as he landed, his gaze locked onto the person he was searching for. He strode confidently toward the terminal.
The noise from the helicopter had attracted the attention of the other rescued passengers, who were eager to see who this man had come to collect.
“Wow! He’s so handsome! Which injured princess is he here to rescue?”
Gwen had no desire to look in that direction, but upon hearing those words, her tears flowed uncontrollably.
Everyone in the world seemed to have someone coming for them, but she was all alone.
Suddenly, the surroundings fell silent, and the sound of steady footsteps echoed clearly in her ears. She Instinctively lifted her gaze to the source of the sound.
Behind him loomed a blazing inferno, yet he navigated through the expectant glances of the injured passengers and quickly approached her.
Gwen strained to see through her tears, and as the figure came into focus, she couldn’t help but whisper the name that sprang to her mind.
“W–William?”
William stopped before her, and he gently cradled Gwen’s face. He used his thumb to wipe away her tears and treated her like a precious gem.
I’m here Gwen.”
His deep and powerful voice calmed the turmoil within her like a warm sun breaking through the gloom. His hand held hers firmly, making everything feel incredibly real.
She frowned and studied the man before her–handsome and charismatic, with striking features that seemed to be the work of a divine craftsman.
She had thought she was the only one in this world, but her knight had already arrived.
Excited shrieks erupted around them.
“Oh my gosh! They match perfectly!”
“He’s so handsome! He even flew a helicopter to pick her up!”
William scooped Gwen into his arms, and amid the envious gazes of onlookers, he carried her out of the terminal. The sound of countless phones snapping pictures echoed around them.

William had a maid help Gwen take a hot shower, and upon hearing the family doctor confirm that she was fine, he finally felt a sense of relief.
He approached the bedside, gently adjusted Gwen’s blankets, and said softly, “Get some rest.”
Gwen nestled into the covers obediently.
Just as she was about to close her eyes, she suddenly sat up. “Oh no! I haven’t informed Grandpa! My family must be worried sick!”
“No need. They probably already know,” William replied while pulling out a tablet and showing her a news article.
The headline read, “The Love Lives of the Rich Are Truly Enviable.”
Accompanying the article was a photo of William carrying her away from the airport
Gwen felt her face flush as she read the comments below.
“Oh my! The way rich people date is beyond the imagination of us ordinary folks.”
“Even though the picture isn’t very clear, they look so good together!”
“I’m rooting for this couple!”
“I’m envious, jealous, and filled with rage!”
William gently ruffled Gwen’s hair. “Don’t worry about this. I’ll handle it.”
His voice was calm and reassuring, and she closed her eyes once more.
As William quietly closed the bedroom door, Sofia appeared behind him, and her face lit with excitement.
“William! You did a great job!”
“Mom, it’s all just sensational reporting. Don’t misunderstand.”
She couldn’t contain her joy. “What’s there to misunderstand? Mr. Lawson Senior and Gwen’s brothers are here! They’re in the living room and want to see you!”
