Alice looked up in shock, only to see a mocking expression on Hannah face. For a moment, she thought she was hallucinating.
After all, Hannah had been hopelessly in love with her son, practically like a dog at his beck and call. Even after learning how Hannah had managed to marry into the Ford family, she never dared to show her any disrespect. With that thought, Alice quickly regained her usual arrogance.

Seeing her silence, Alice immediately felt triumphant. Hah, you’re scared now, well, if you want to make amends it’s simple, bring me that diamond necklace you bought a while ago!”
Hannah suddenly let out a chuckle. So people really could be stupid to the point of being laughable. Feeling particularly generous today, she decided to spell things out clearly.
