“So. you have no concrete evidence, yet you are openly accusing me of a crime?”
A trace of resentment flashed through Rebecca’s eyes.
D*mn it! Isn’t Hannah just a housewife? Isn’t she supposed to be timid? How did her thinking become so sharp and h presence so commanding after just a few days at work?
Gritting her teeth, Rebecca patted Chester on the back and coaxed him. “It’s okay, Chester, don’t cry.” Then, she sighed and spoke in a pitiful tone.
“I never intended to compete with you. I only attended today’s event because I didn’t want Chester to be disappointed. There’s no need for you to escalate this matter so much.”
Hannah didn’t buy it, “Please answer my question directly. Otherwise, you are deliberately slandering me Everyone present is a witness!”
Rebecca’s expression darkened.
