Madison was dead!
The news spread throughout the estate in less than fifteen minutes.
Rumors claimed that Lady Clara was consumed by jealousy and couldn’t tolerate children born to others, so she tampered with some pastries to kill him!
When I heard this news, I was absolutely stunned!
I never imagined that a mother would actually harm her own young child! Lillian must have completely lost her mind!
I found Lachlan, and he couldn’t believe it either!
Even though he knew Madison wasn’t his biological son, after raising him for so many years,
he had developed an emotional attachment.
“How dare sho?”
Lachlan trembled with rage.
He was furious not only because Lillian had committed murder but also because she had pinned the blame on him!
“I never sent any pastries. Those pastries were just the routine distribution from the estate, which I merely ordered to be carried out.”
Lachlan explained.
I smirked slightly, as I certainly knew how many times Lillian had used similar excuses to
accuse me of harming her.
Even though I hadn’t done anything, as long as there was the slightest connection to me, she would insist it was my doing!
“How can arranging the usual portions for each household prove that you’re the one who poisoned them? That’s just part of your regular duties,” I said.
I saw everything clearly, but unfortunately, the old Lachlan was too weak to act.
He was paying the price, and it was about time he felt what it was like when karma came
back around.
“You’ll help me, right?” he asked.
Murder charges were serious business, and Lachlan probably wasn’t feeling too confident.
“Of course,” I replied.
Who else would I help if not him? Lillian? Hell no, please.
Besides, I wanted to get my own body back for myself.

I looked up to see a crowd of people awkwardly carrying Madison’s lifeless body.

When Lillian entered and saw me, her expression clearly changed.

offended Clara a few days ago, she secretly struck back and poisoned him to death!”
Lillion worked herself up emotionally, then burst into tears with a loud wall.
She even tried to throw herself into my arms while crying!
I was utterly disgusted and quickly moved away, standing beside Lachlan instead.

The servants scrambled to carry Madison’s body inside.
Lachlan’s face turned pale green when he saw it, his expression one of total disbelief.
“Lillian, you’ve completely lost your mind! Madison is dead, and instead of giving him a proper burial, you’re parading his body around like this? What kind of person are you? Do you
even deserve to be called a mother?!”
Lachlan’s worldview was shattered, and his understanding of reality was repeatedly
challenged!

must have been completely blind!
“You’ve got some nerve, Clara! My son is dead because of you! I brought him here to make you answer for what you did! Lillian shouted, looking no different from a common fishwife.
Lachlan felt his heart grow colder as he watched. All those beautiful memories from the past now seemned like nothing but mockery and irony!

“Madison is the evidence! He died after eating the pastries you sent over! No one else in this
house would do something like that except you!” Lillian gritted her teeth.
“So you’re accusing me of murder with nothing but your word. No actual evidence.” Lachi
laughed coldly.
But Lillion wasn’t afraid. She had already committed to this path and wasn’t about to give up

Lachlan was speechless in the face of Lillian’s ability to twist the truth. He couldn’t find the words to respond.
I stood quietly on the side, knowing it was time to step in.
“You keep demanding justice, claiming Clara killed my biological son. Lillian, let me ask you. Is Madison really my son? Is he actually my biological child?”
