Chapter 36 He’s There Too
The setting sun’s rays were particularly beautiful that evening. After getting off the bus, Farrah still needed to walk a short distance to Fairytale Cottage.
The weather in August was hot, but things cooled down at night. A light breeze lifted the hem of her skirt and her hair. The setting sun illuminated the faces of passersby, giving one a serene feeling

Farrah was behind the captions on the wall. She’d had them custom–made and had stuck them on herself. She was the typical optimist who grew stronger in adversity. She never complained and always faced life

Business was going well today. Several orders were waiting to be delivered, and young women were there for the aesthetics. Due to the sweet atmosphere and decorations, all photos taken there looked good.
“Fay!” When Sandra saw Farrah enter alone, she glanced outside. Then, her face fell, and she asked,” Where’s your husband? What are you doing here alone?
“Come on, I’m not here for a public display of affection. Farrah laughed while heading to the counter. How are things today? What time will you be able to get off work?”
Tina came out with freshly made desserts. “Hi, Fay. We’ve been getting off at around 11:00 pm recently. Plenty of young women have been dropping by for photos and desserts.”
“That sounds good, I’ll give you both raises, okay? Thanks for the hard work!”
“Oh, right. Riley came yesterday. It seems she plans on returning to the workforce like you have,” Sandra said. “Things are now so competitive in the corporate world that I truly admire you guys for having the
nerve to do it.”
“Well, it’s not like I have a choice. My family has high expenses, and the dessert store only barely
manages to make ends meet. You know my brother is in his senior year of high school, right? This is when he needs to use plenty of money,” Farrah said.
She had no idea Riley intended to go back to work, though. It had only been half a year since she’d given birth. Could the child be without her if she were to go back to work so soon?
“I just came to get some ingredients to make desserts at home. Let me check the stock we have,” Farrah said.

Farrah was happy to hear that. “When I have time, I’ll try to think of more designs to make our store the prettiest around!”
Before leaving, she picked up some vanilla flavored dotton candy, chocolate, milk, and cocoa powder

After leaving Fairytale Cottage, she didn’t totum to Floral Spring Residences. Instead, she walked along the river. She remembered some lark trees nearby, and the dried bark was yellow lark, a medicinal herb The fresher they were, the better. She could use it with other herbs to treat old bums.
Almost as soon as Farrah loft, Adrian arrived at Fairytale Cottage. The white walls and Islan windown looked almost romantic under the setting sun. It was probably very relaxing to enjoy desserts when there was a light breeze.
He looked up at the plaque with anytale Cottage carved on it. Then, he headed inside. His appearance didn’t just stun Sandra and Tina the customers inside were attracted to him, too.
He was tall and handsome, and his shirt looked expensive even though they couldn’t tell the brand. His demeanor made him stand out, and it was clear he wasn’t a regular Joe He wasn’t the type of ma would run into on the street.
“Welcome, sir. Would you like to order anything?” Tina approached him with a smile. “There’s an empty seat over there, and you can scan the QR code to order
“Alright. Thanks.” This was Adrian’s first time in a small store like this. He looked around at the decorations and found them to be simple yet cozy. He also saw the captions on the wall,

“We don’t have sweet captions here–only sweet desserts. Be a sweet kid today!”
