Chapter 58 Personally Choosing a Gift for Mrs. Locke
After the call with Philip ended, Adrian put his phone down and turned to look at Farrah, who was sitting
beside him.
Their eyes met, and without saying a word, Farrah got out of bed and left the master bedroom. He didn’t ask her to stay.
The next morning, Adrian headed downstairs and got into the Lamborghini. Kenneth, as usual, started the car and drove toward the office.
He and Farrah never went to work together. It wasn’t a spoken rule, but it became an unspoken agreement between them.
Adrian remembered what Farrah had said the night before. His mind deep in thought, he asked, “Kenneth, have you ever given a woman a gift?”
Kenneth was a little shocked. He turned to look at Adrian in disbelief. What was he up to?
Adrian quickly explained, “I mean, if someone helped you out in a big way and you wanted to show your appreciation, what kind of gift would you give?”
Kenneth heard the uncharacteristic
ainty in Adrian’s voice and seemed to grasp what was going on.
Smiling, he responded, “Well, that depends on who it is. Giving a gift to a colleague or a friend is one thing, but if it’s Ms. Tate, that’s another matter entirely
Adrian didn’t understand. “How is she different from others?”
“So, it’s Ms. Tate you want to give a gift to?” Kenneth chuckled knowingly and then continued, “She’s your wife! That’s what makes it different. The gift has to be more meaningful. A happy wife means a happy life. Women will return your kindness tenfold.”
As Kenneth was holding the wheels, focusing on the road ahead, he added, “When you’re nice to her, she’ll be even nicer to you. Ms. Tate is a kindhearted woman. You can see it in her eyes.”
Adrian gazed out the window, feeling a bit conflicted. Was giving a gift that complicated?
“Mr. Locke, how about we stop by and pick something up now? There’s still time. The mall won’t be too crowded this early,” Kenneth suggested, nudging him in the right direction.
Adrian thought about it and agreed to Kenneth’s suggestion. He didn’t seem to have a reason to refuse. After all, Farrah had helped him out, and a thank–you gift was in order.
Kenneth was pleased with the decision and drove toward the mall. After five minutes, they arrived and got out of the car.
“Can we pick the gift out together?” he asked Kenneth. I’ve never bought a gift for a woman before.”
Kenneth willingly said, “Of course! Let’s go.”
As they strolled through the mall together, Kenneth asked, “So, do you have any ideas on what to get Ms. Tate?
“A necklace? A bracelet? Don’t all women love that sort of thing?” Adrian wasn’t putting too much thought Into it. He was simply expressing his gratitude, not trying to impress her.
Kenneth chuckled as he said, “Mr. Locke Senior would be over the moon if he knew you were personally picking out a gift for Ms. Tate.

Adrian’s voice was cool as usual. “Then make sure to mention it to him when you come across an opportunity.”
“Will do!”
As they continued browsing, they weren’t aware that someone had been watching them.
Germaine, who had just left a store with a small, beautifully wrapped package, happened to spot Adrian’s tall figure.
Driven by curiosity, she quietly followed them and watched as they stopped at a jewelry counter, specifically one that sold women’s jewelry.
“Sir, how can I help you today?” the sales assistant greeted them warmly. Judging from Adrian’s attire, she could tell this customer was a big spender.
Adrian wasn’t just browsing casually. His sharp eyes moved from one display case to the next, carefully Inspecting each plece.
Kenneth stood next to him like a loyal assistant.
Under the store’s soft lighting, Adrian’s chiseled features seemed even more striking, and his natural charisma drew the attention of everyone around them.
Finally, his long, elegant fingers pointed toward a particular necklace. “That one.”
When he spoke, his deep, magnetic voice had the power to make anyone around him stop and listen. “Excellent choice, sir, the sales assistant said as she carefully retrieved the necklace from the case. “This is our signature ‘Bunny Bliss‘ design. It captures the playful essence of bunnies while evoking a sense of joy and elegance. Most importantly, it’s part of our limited edition collection for the year!” “Wrap it up.” Adrian handed over his card. “I’m paying by card.”
He didn’t even ask about the price! The sales assistant was stunned but thrilled.
