Chapter 9 The Big Reveal
Antonio recognized Sophia. She was one of the students Grace aided and became Grace’s assistant after graduation.
Antonio was mad at Sophia, but for Grace’s sake, he had to play nice.
“What are you doing? It’s our anniversary today. Why are you making a
scene?!”
Antonio strode over and chided, “Look at you. Grace’s kindness is wasted on you. Leave now!”
Grace always valued the girls she aided. If she found out Sophia tried to ruin her anniversary, she’d be deeply disappointed.
Sophia turned a deaf ear to Antonio’s warning. She even chuckled when he mentioned Grace.
“Antonio, you’re talking about disappointing Grace? Look whose ashes I’m bringing here!”
Sophia’s face was pale. Before, she always looked at Antonio with respect, but now her expression was thunderous.
Antonio froze and stared at the name on the urn. He averted his gaze as if he got burned.
“What’s the meaning of this stun? You’re blackmailing me? Guards! Throw this ungrateful woman out!”
Antonio thought, “It can’t be Grace’s ashes. She’s preparing a surprise for

“Sophia is out of her mind. She thinks she can blackmail me with a fake urn?!”
Sophia scoffed and threw Grace’s death note and her phone at Antonio.
“See for yourself! It’ll tell you who’s the ungrateful woman.”
Antonio was stunned by the familiar phone case.
He picked it up mechanically and typed in the date of their anniversary to unlock it.
Antonio’s mind was bombarded by the nuke photos and defiant texts Roxie sent.
As he strolled through it, his face turned paler and paler.
He thought, “Grace knows! She knows about us!”
In her messages to Grace, Roxie was a defiant and arrogant mistress. She wasn’t the sweet compliant lover he knew at all!
As if he was punishing himself, Antonio kept on reading. Turned out. Roxie had thrown the evidence in Grace’s face every time he cheated on
Grace with her.
At the beginning, Roxie would greet Grace to thank her aid. As time went on, she changed.
The turning point was two months ago. Antonio couldn’t resist Roxie’s temptation and promoted her to his assistant.
That day, Roxie sent her first defiant message to Grace.
“Grace, you’re a busy woman. I’ll satisfy Antonio’s needs for you.”
With the text, she sent a photo of they were naked in bed.

That day, Antonio didn’t show up to Grace’s press conference. He lied about being too busy.
Throughout the whole process, Grace never texted back.
But Antonio could sense how heartbroken Grace was.
After Marco died, Irene ran oll with his money.
Living under her uncle’s roof, Grace had to be skittish at a young age. She was insecure and was afraid of being betrayed.
Antonio spent 20 years helping Grace out of her shell and gain confidence. But now, he was the one who destroyed everything.
A dull pain spread through his body. Antonio opened the death note with shaking hands.
There was only one sentence.
“Antonio, I owe you nothing now.”
“No!”
Antonio broke down and knelt on the ground. The pain of losing his beloved wife paralyzed him as if he had been chained down by countless invisible ropes.
The guests were still guessing what was going on. Sophia walked directly to the ferris and took out the divorce paper before slamming it on the ground.
“Grace told me. The woman can’t seduce you if you don’t give her the chance! The only wish Grace had before she died was to divorce you!”
Antonio couldn’t hear anything at the moment. Shaking, he picked up the divorce paper. As he saw the familiar handwriting, he jumped and
snatched the urn from Sophia.
He thought, “This can’t be Grace’s ashes.
“She’s a star. She wouldn’t allow herself to be turned into this.”
“No, you’re lying! This ish’t real! Grace is alive! Am I right?!”
Sophia was shocked by Antonio’s sharp instinct. Luckily, Grace’s therapist
arrived.
She was aided by Grace as well. The therapist took out a thick stack of medicine records.
“Two months ago, Grace had a recurrent bout of depression. It was so bad that she couldn’t sleep. As her husband, how could you not see it?”
Because of her family, Grace always had a mild case of depression. She didn’t like to talk or approach people. Antonio was aware of it. So, he tried his hardest to keep his affair from Grace.
“Grace committed suicide. She didn’t want anything to do with you after she passed away. You’ve lost that right!”
Antonio opened the thick medical record.
Grace’s depression returned when he first cheated on her.
After that, as he became addicted and slept with Roxie over and over again, Grace’s condition got worse until she couldn’t take it anymore and killed herself.
