“Lily, I go away on a business trip and you tell everyone I’m dead?”
A spirited old man walked over leaning on a cane. Lily was so scared she collapsed to the ground, shaking all over.
“Husband… I was wrong. Someone spread false rumors and I believed them.”
“Oh, rumors? Looks like you couldn’t wait for me to die so you could remarry! If I hadn’t come back to the country, I wouldn’t have known you were giving me such big green hat!”
The old man berated her while viciously beating her with his cane.
Lily curled up crying in pain, her makeup completely ruined.
“Husband, I really know I was wrong. I just came as a bridesmaid, husband…”
Accompanied by her repeated cries of “husband“, Frank’s face grew darker and darker.
The pointing and whispering of the many guests also made his parents hang their heads in shame.
Lily crawled on her knees towards them begging for help, but was pushed away.
Frank’s face was especially gloomy:
“Lily, didn’t you say your husband died and you had nowhere to go? You really took me for a fool to pick up after you! You despicable woman!”
Lily looked at Frank in disbelief. He had always granted her every request, but now he was yelling at her.
She also became dissatisfied and furious:
“You have the nerve to say that about me? I just hinted a little that my son looked like you, and you drove your own wife away to let me move in. You’re even more despicable and shameless than me!”

Watching these two bite each other like dogs, I couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
Seeing this, Frank hurriedly knelt down to apologize to me.
“Honey, I was wrong. I was deceived by this vile woman. Please forgive me this once, okay?”
I immediately threw the signed divorce agreement in his face and sneered:
“Look carefully at the signature. Who’s your wife now? We’re already divorced!”
Hearing this, Frank was shocked.
“Impossible, I never signed any divorce agreement!”
But when he flipped through the agreement carefully, he finally realized and grabbed Lily’s hair in fury:
“It was you! That day at the hospital, you said my mom needed surgery and had me sign papers! You stupid woman, you’ve really ruined me. I won’t let you off!”
Seeing him raise his hand to hit Lily’s face, I stopped him and said coldly:
“You think you can blame everything on the woman and get away with it? If you didn’t have thoughts of cheating yourself, how could she have gotten to you? What a coward who dares to do things but not take responsibility!”
The farce finally came to an end amid my ex–mother–in–law’s dramatic fake moaning.
