As she watched the cruise ship sail farther and farther away, she pulled out her card and threw it into the sea.

Dave was woken up by the sound of his phone ringing.
“Hurry up, the wedding is about to start. Why can’t I reach Kate?”
It was his mother on the other end of the line, sounding a bit anxious.
Dave answered lightly and hung up the phone.
