A delivery man appeared at the venue and seeing the noisy crowd, he shouted, “Is there anyone named Leona?”
The entire place fell silent. Leona, red- faced and embarrassed, was forced to
stand up from the corner.
“I am. Is there something wrong?”
The delivery man placed the package on the table in front of her.
“This is a gift from Miss Kate Shawn to
you.”
Leona’s eyes widened as she recalled what Kate had said. This was the gift Kate had
sent her.
Following Kate’s instructions, the delivery man opened the package in front of Leonal and the other guests.
What appeared before everyone’s eyes was a snowy white wedding dress and a

beautifully handcrafted fan.
“She said, “Wishing you a happy marriage.”
The noise in the room grew louder as people began whispering about the sordid affairs between Leona and Dave.
A few of Kate’s close friends began to angrily curse.
“How can you still call yourself her sister? Sleeping with your sister’s boyfriend behind her back–it’s disgusting!”
“A pair of shameless lovers, how tiring it must be to keep up this act for so long? Do they think everyone else is a fool? Disgusting!”
Leona glanced at the others, her eyes reddening from the insults and she quickly turned to run out.
Dave didn’t care about anything else at this point. All he wanted was to see Kate.
He drove all the way, his mind filled with thoughts of Kate. As the red light ahead

turned on, he didn’t hesitate for a second and pressed down on the gas pedal, speeding through.
He ran through several red lights, his palms sweating uncontrollably. He had never realized just how much he cared about Kate. For a moment, fear crept in. He feared that Kate might leave him.
The wedding venue was fifty minutes away from home, but this time he managed to get back in just over half an hour. As soon as he returned, he rushed into the
bedroom.
Seeing the empty room, he froze. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. The room was so clean, as if no one had ever lived there. Only his things remained. He shouted throughout the entire house.
He stood in the living room, his breath coming in quick gasps, the pounding of his heart echoing in his ears. He shouted at the housekeeper.

“Where is Kate? Where did she go?”
The housekeeper, frightened by his tone, didn’t dare make a sound.
“Didn’t she pack her things and leave yesterday?” the housekeeper replied, thinking that Kate had moved her belongings to Dave’s family house in advance. The house keeper didn’t dare ask any further.
Upon hearing this, Dave’s face turned ashen and he clenched his fists tightly.
“Find her! Bring her back to me!”
Since being with Kate, the servants had never seen Dave so furious.
Dave felt his entire body trembling, powerless and collapsed onto the sofa. He looked up at the “happiness” character on
the window.
Suddenly, his throat tightened, realizing that today was supposed to be their wedding day.

Dave lowered his head and stared at the wallpaper on his phone, where Kate’s smiling face appeared before his eyes.
He was lost in thought for a long time. When did she find out?
