Chapter 19
Leona saw through the cold indifference of this family. Her face was pale as she spoke to the cold Dave. “If I were Kate, I would leave this family too!”
Dave sneered. She wasn‘ t even worthy to mention Kate’s name.
“Isn’t this the outcome you wanted?” He added, before leaving her alone in the hospital and returning home.
Leona stayed in the hospital for several days without a single visit from anyone. Once she was discharged, she returned to the Ferdinand family.
Hana was sitting in the living room.
“You’re back? Feeling better?” she asked,
her sudden concern causing Leona to freeze for a moment.
“Yes, I’m better,” Leona replied.

However, Dave didn’t show any reaction.
He lazily leaned against the sofa. It had been a few days since they’d last seen each other and Dave seemed even more
haggard.
Only he knew deep down that the longer time passed, the stronger his desire to see Kate became.
Leona dragged her tired body, intending to return to her room, but was suddenly stopped by Dave.
“Where are you going?”

Dave closed his eyes, a slight smile curling
at the corners of his mouth.
“Room? There’s no room for you here anymore.”
Leona froze in place, her eyes fixed on the mother and son. “What do you mean?”
“Literally, there’s no room for you here. anymore. Didn’t you understand?” Dave

said, still as merciless as ever.
Leona let out a self–deprecating laugh and spoke to them, “Don’t forget, we‘ re not divorced yet.”
Hana lifted her gaze to glance at her, then stood up with the same smiling face as always.
“Leona, we’re here today to talk to your about the divorce.”
Now that Leona had lost the child, she no longer held any value to them.
Leona understood her situation, but she couldn’t accept it.
Dave’s indifference, even to the point of having her child killed, was something she had never anticipated.
Compared to the tenderness and care he had shown her before, now she realized. that she had always been the one deceived.
Leona refused to agree to the divorce.

Hana spoke without hesitation. “If you refuse to divorce, our family will no longer accept you. We will kick you out of this house. But if you accept the divorce, perhaps we can give you some money.”
This was clearly forcing Leona to make a choice.
Leona, however, wasn’t going to hold back. She returned to her usual sharp, bitter self.
“Don’t forget, it was you who caused me to lose my child. You owe me responsibility for this! Be careful, or I’ll expose all of you to the media!” Leona threatened, but there was no conviction in her words anymore.
Hana and Dave didn’t take her seriously at all.
Seeing that she was still threatening them, Hana calmly ordered someone to throw her belongings out.
Dave stood silently by, offering no help or sign of intervention.

Seeing her belongings being discarded, Leona started to panic. She quickly stepped forward to block them.
“What are you doing?” she shouted, “These are all my things!”
The servants ignored her and continued, bypassing her to place her belongings outside.
Leona realized there was no turning back and with a heavy heart, she let out a defeated sigh, releasing her resistance.
“I’ll divorce! I’ll divorce if you give me money!” Leona shouted in desperation.
Hearing this, Dave slowly stood up.
“If I had known you would be like this, it would have been much easier,” he said.
coldly.
Without hesitation, he went to the City Hall
and obtained the divorce certificate.
By the time Leona realized what had happened and came to claim the money,

Hana refused to acknowledge the promise.
Leona was left standing there, helpless, as the door to her hopes slammed shut.
“I never said anything like that. Now that you’re no longer related to our family, why should we give you any of our money?” Hana said coldly.
Leona was so furious that she nearly collapsed. She rushed forward to grab Dave, but unexpectedly, he violently pushed her to the ground.
“Stop bothering me! Just the sight of you disgusts me!” he spat out, his voice filled with contempt.
Leona lay on the floor, her heart sinking. Everything she had clung to had fallen apart and now she truly understood how little she mattered to them.
