Chapter 20
Leona felt like a stray dog, discarded on the ground. People passed by, indifferent to her plight and she could only find a quiet
corner to rest.
She had never imagined her life would end up this way, now
way, now more miserable than anyone, especially Dave. Her heart was filled with a deep sense of betrayal and hopelessness, realizing she had lost everything that once held meaning to her.
Leona quickly typed out the messages and sent them all at once.
“The heir of the Ferdinand Family was secretly meeting with another woman during his engagement! Moreover, Dave deliberately caused a miscarriage!”
She knew the consequences would be severe, but at this point, she had nothing left to lose. The pain she had endured pushed her to take this desperate step,

Perhaps anticipating this day, Leona had carefully saved many photos. These photos. were enough to send their family into a erperiod of media scandal.

Every day seemed to bring her joy, mainly because she no longer had to be affected by those meaningless things. Having left that city behind, no one could contact her
anymore.
The cruise ship had everything one could imagine, but sometimes, a feeling of loneliness would settle in, quietly creeping into her thoughts.
But compared to that failed relationship, she was willing to bear the loneliness.
The ship had just arrived in Polarisia early this morning. One unique building after another appeared before her eyes, just as she had imagined them to be.
It was 6 a.m. and everything was perfectly quiet, just the way she liked it. Seagulls flew overhead, their pleasant cries filling
the air.
Kate smiled, but as she turned her gaze, her eyes met the man on the other side of the cruise ship. They locked eyes at the

same moment.
It was even more of a coincidence that they were on the same cruise ship. Kate paused for a moment. When she had purchased this ship, the staff had mentioned that there were only two of them in the world.
Such a vast world and yet here they were, meeting each other.
Kate’s expression was thoughtful. The man across from her appeared mature and composed, but when he saw her, he was also stunned for a long while.
Kate gave him a slight smile before turning and heading back to her room.
By the time the sun rose, Kate saw that the man was still standing outside. It was unclear whether he was admiring the beautiful scenery or waiting for someone. He held a bottle of newly bought red wine in his hand, dressed in casual attire. But he with just one glance, Kate could tell he
wasn’t an ordinary person. He had the

aura of a business elite.
He greeted Kate politely and reservedly, “Would you like to try some?”
He gestured toward the red wine in his
hand.
This wasn’t the first time Kate had been
approached. Throughout her travels across several countries, many foreigners had tried to join her on the journey.
Kate was a perfect blend of realism and romanticism. She believed that fate
couldn’t be forced and she politely turned them all down one by one.
Encountering someone from the same. country while abroad, especially on the same ship, was an uncommon experience. The first time Kate laid eyes on the man, a strange sensation stirred in her heart. As the wind tousled her hair that day, she met his deep, intense gaze and gave a slight
nod.
“Sure.”

For security purposes, the man boarded her cruise ship and the sight of his bodyguards filled Kate with a reassuring sense of safety.
The first time they had dinner together on the ship, she felt a little uneasy. Since boarding, she had been dining alone every day. But the man, speaking with ease and confidence, helped ease her nervousness.
She realized that they had many shared. interests and topics to discuss. She also learned his name, Harry White.
They talked well into the night, only parting ways late. Before leaving, Harry turned back with a hint of reluctance, his smile still in place, his voice gentle as he spoke.
