“How do you like it? I bet it’s better than all

She made me watch her expensive necklace
I even secretly paid for her mom’s medical
bills last month.

I tried to be sarcastic when I told her, “There
isn’t a necklace more expensive than that.”
But Ashley was so naive, that she said “This
is my love and Ethan’s love.”
I didn’t want to deal with her, but then she
said, “Ethan is so afraid of dogs and dogs
make him very sick, I love dogs so much, so I
don’t know what we’re going to do when we
live together.”
Ashley faked a concerned look.
I scoffed. “How would I know?”
But a question kept growing inside of me.
How did Ashley know Ethan was scared of
dogs?

Ethan has always presented himself as a
tough guy, so he never fears anything.
To his fans, he is fearless, no one knows that
dogs make him sick.
Kelly started comforting Ashley, “You could
buy a mansion and keep the dog in the east
wing.”
Ashley started getting lots of gifts everyday.
She received stuffed sheep, and deliveries of
all sorts.
But today’s “necklace” was probably the most
expensive thing she’s received!
Kelly seemed to be getting more and more
sure of her claims.
In the afternoon, Kelly and Ashley stood by
my desk.
“Do you want any of Ethan’s concert tickets?
They are so expensive!”
She grinned at me.
“Ashley, don’t worry, she has so much money,
she can buy tickets for 200,000 dollars.”
“We’re not as rich as she is, so we can’t just
get tickets and backstage passes to hang out
with the stars.”
I knew. Kelly was a gold digger. On the
surface, we were friends, but behind my back,
she hated on me.
Kelly clearly wanted to make Ashley feel

good, and she took it all in and looked down
on me.
I laughed and said, “I never met Ethan, is it
possible for me to meet him.”
She laughed and told me. “Okay, but that is
because I’m a sweetheart!”
At night, Ashley called her dad,
“I don’t want your house, or a fancy handbag,
I just want you to get the vineyard ready for
my friends and I!”
“Ashley, you have a Vineyard?”
Ashley said. “My dad is a big businessman
and he is always buying real estate.”
This looks very familiar to me, kind of like our
vineyard.
I took a closer look and Ashley brought the
phone closer and closer.
“I thought you were really rich, how do you
not know what a vineyard looks like?”
I recognize it, I recognize it way too well.
She enjoyed my shocked expression.
“Ethan and I have known each other for a
long time. Our families are connected!”
“His scar on his back, he got it when we were
children.”

I was shocked.
Ethan got burned on the back when he was
really young when he spilled hot water.
Wow, I was shocked twice today.
I got a text message from Ethan, is he hiding
something from me?
“Are you dating someone?”
“No, I need to stay focused on work.”
“I’m going to be busy for the next week.”
I was thinking about saying “Did you
encounter any trouble?”

Kelly crashed into me and my phone fell.
Ethan’s texts were showing on the screen.
Kelly stood up and looked down on me.
“Are you trying to copy Ashley?”
“Is Ethan really your brother?”
“If Ethan is your brother, I will eat shit!”
I stared at Kelly, and she looked afraid.
“Money can’t solve everything.”
How does money not solve everything? It
seems that money does.
“Kelly, if you hate money so much, don’t
apply for that money!”
Kelly stopped talking.
A few days later, the concert was today,
Ashley said excitedly.
“Ethan is going to get a chauffeur to take
us!”
It was our family’s car!
The chauffeur recognized me. “I’m here to
drive you!”
Before I nodded, Ashley chimed in and said
“Yep!”

Ashley nodded and said “Yes.”
What is this? But thankfully, the chauffeur
said nothing.
Kelly got excited.
“Ashley, you’re dating Ethan! This car is
expensive and luxurious!”
Ashley furrowed her eyebrows and said “Can
you not touch it?”
The chauffeur couldn’t handle it and said,
“You must have driven this car a lot!”

Kelly didn’t hear the chauffeur and ignored
him.
We arrived at the concert, and we got the
best seats.
“Ethan is here!”
Everyone was waving their fan lightsticks.
Ashley had her sunglasses on.
“I see him all the time! He is like a cute puppy
dog!”
Everyone looked at us.
“What is she doing?”
Ethan looked at me and waved.
Ashley assumed it was her and said, “I know
he loves me!”
I texted Ethan, and asked him to get us
backstage so I can handle this.
The concert ended, and Ashley started crying.
“Oh no, he’s canceled.”
“I was wondering why nobody would tell me.
But now, it makes sense!”
Ashley cried and Kelly comforted her.
“Before, he was so nice to me.”
