Chapter 10
Sybil did not know Lincoln and was unaware that she had been exposed.
After she left, Lincoln called his assistant in and said, “Go find
out where she lived and who she lived with.”
The assistant nodded and, as he was about to leave, Lincoln‘
called him back.
“Did they still not find that girl?”
When Lincoln was nine years old, he was framed by his enemies, which led to him being captured by human traffickers and taken to a small village in the mountains.
The vast mountains, stretching for hundreds of miles, he couldn’t run out of them no matter what.
Just when he thought his whole life was going to rot here, a girl named Alina Scott saved him.
She took him down an unfamiliar path and handed him a few hard buns, “Run from here, and you will be able to run out by tomorrow afternoon.”
Lincoln grabbed her and said, “Let’s go together. If they find out you let me go, they will kill you.”
Alina shook her head, “I couldn’t leave, and if I had to leave, I would have to take my mom with me… but her leg was broken, she couldn’t walk.”

She remained silent for a while, “Young man, when you go out, please report to the police for me. My mother was kidnapped.”
After Lincoln recovered from a serious illness, he woke up and forgot the location of the small mountain village. He only remembered the tearful stubborn eyes, the bowl–sized scar on her ankle, and her name – Alina Scott.
He had been looking for her all these years.
The assistant shook his head, “Mr. Kaufman, there were just too many girls with that name across the country, and we were still investigating.”
Lincoln suppressed his disappointment and waved his hand, “You go out and busy yourself.”
A few days later, Sybil took Grace to a nearby pub for a drink, during which they brushed off several men who tried to strike up a conversation.
“The person I met and signed a contract with a few days ago was incredibly handsome, but his aura was too intimidating, and it felt oppressive. I didn’t dare to ask for his personal contact information,” Sybil lamented. “I don’t know why I was so timid at that time, it’s such a pity. I don’t know when I will encounter such a handsome guy of that caliber again.”
In less than a second, she bounced back up and said, “The handsome guy who just passed by is my type. I’ll be back in a moment.”
Not long after she left, Grace felt one corner of the sofa sink down.

She thought it was Sybil, leaning on her shoulder as usual, lazily asking, “How did you come back so quickly?”
But when I got closer, I realized that the scent of perfume on this person was unfamiliar.
Grace suddenly jumped up, knocking over the drinks and
wetting her coat. She hurriedly wiped her clothes while
apologizing to the person next to her, “I’m sorry, I mistook you for someone else!”
Lincoln spoke lightly, “It doesn’t matter.”
The sound… Grace suddenly looked up.
Lincoln!
In an instant, a wave of fear shot straight up from the spine to the top of the head.
How did he end up here? Does Antonio know about his fake death? Are they going to capture him and take him back?
These questions flashed through Grace’s mind, but she didn’t have time to think about them. Right now, there was only one word in her mind – run!
But as soon as she turned around, her wrist was grabbed by Lincoln from behind. He stood up and pushed her forward, pinning Grace against the wall.
Lincoln was wearing a coat, and to others, it seemed like he was holding Grace from behind, like the ambiguous couples that could be seen everywhere here, so no one noticed the anomaly on this side.
“Why are you running? I wouldn’t do anything to you,” Lincoln

still had a cold expression. “However, you have to come back with me to meet Antonio in our home country!”
