“Chloe, do you know why he hurt you today?”
Jack asked.
“Why?”
I asked.
Why would he do this to me?
We never did anything wrong to Jake.
I gave up my future for him, but he turned his
back on me.
He wants a powerful wife, I understand!
Why did he hurt me like that?

Jake said.
He jumped up to cover Jack’s mouth.
Jack kicked him.
“You can sit and drink some milk.”
Jack gave me the milk and said:
“Do you remember when he went abroad as
an exchange student?”
“Yes, he asked me for 20,000!”
“That money was earned by me.”

I was naive.

school for him.
The neighbors warned me not to treat Jake

But I thought they were wrong.
“He was found by the Kennedy family
abroad!”
“The Kennedy family is generous. Even

I asked.

Jack said.
“He was disabled.
“He thought you wouldn’t want him.”
“After all, you’re a normal person. He’s not!”
“So, he tried to drag you to hell!”
“If you’re hurt, he can be better than you!”
“What a psycho?”
I looked at Jake.

“I wanted to be with you.”
“My wedding with Cindy was fake. I wanted to
marry you!”
Jake explained.
“Marry me? After letting others hurt me?”
“Marrying me is an honor!”
