With me pushing from behind, Cindy’s situation quickly dominated the headlines across all platforms.
Thugs with cameras gathered outside Cindy’s home, relentlessly blocking her way. Every time she stepped out, they rushed forward to broadcast her shame live.
After several encounters, Cindy could no longer bear it and called the police. The officers arrived and took the thugs away, but I had arranged for some sharp–tongued women and those whose marriages had been wrecked by mistresses to join the fray.
These people were far more terrifying than the thugs.
Especially the betrayed wives, who, once they learned about Cindy’s past, began a relentless campaign of harassment against her, determined to drive her to the edge. They even pooled their own money to take turns calling her with threats.
After Cindy’s scandal broke, the dirty secrets behind her company’s third–party intervention advisors started to surface one after another.
Their clients banded together to sue Cindy’s company.
In a single night, Cindy’s business went bankrupt, and all her employees ended up in jail.
Cindy’s foundation was weak, and she had done too many terrible things. It didn’t take long before she completely crumbled.
On camera, she wept uncontrollably, begging to see me just once.
I watched the emaciated figure of Cindy through the screen and instructed someone to find a rooftop dozens of stories high. “Tell Cindy to meet me there tonight.”
On the rooftop, Cindy stood alone across from me, her demeanor fragile.
I had brought a dozen bodyguards who stared at her mockingly. “You were in such a hurry to see me, huh? Are you planning to atone for your sins regarding my son?”
She shook her head and suddenly pleaded with me, “Please, give me a chance to live.”
I stepped closer, grabbing her hair and glaring at her fiercely. “A chance to live?
“When I was in the hospital, I begged you the same way. Did you ever give me a chance to live? Did you ever give my son a chance to live?
“He had just been born. How dare you kill him in front of me…”
I screamed in rage, my grip on her hair tightening. Seeing her face contort in pain, I let out a breath and released her.
“I’ve heard your father’s business is doing well, and he even found you a stepmother, I believe she’s pregnant, right?”
At my words, her eyes widened, panic etching her features. “Please don’t involve my dad in this. He doesn’t know anything!
“My father has worked hard to establish himself in Ironreach. He struggled to raise me, and he was kind

to you back then. You can’t destroy our lives; I’m begging you…”
I coldly nodded and pointed to the railing behind her. Jump, and I won’t retaliate against your father.”
She slowly turned her head, her voice trembling with fear. “This is all Oliver’s fault. Why are you trying to kill me?
“What did I do wrong? I just borrowed your identity. It was Oliver who got close to me because he was greedy and sought to climb the ladder.
“It was him who wanted to harm you and your child; why are you directing all your anger at me…”
Listening to Cindy, I frowned and snorted dismissively. “No need to rush to blame Oliver; you can wait for him down there. I’ll make sure you reunite.”
Cindy struggled in despair. “It’s not my fault! I can’t die; I don’t want to die! Please…”
Seeing her frantic state around me, I took the phone from one of my bodyguards and dialed her father’s number. “Mr. Clarke, we suspect your company has been involved in misconduct. I-”
Cindy suddenly sprang up and lunged at me, only to be pinned down by my bodyguards.
Holding the phone, I smirked at her. “You die, or your family goes bankrupt–choose.”
Cindy leaped off the rooftop.
I heard she hit the ground and was reduced to a mangled mess, the scene so horrific that no one dared to approach.
That night, I spent some money to make sure the news of Cindy’s suicide became the front–page headline.
As I stared at the flashing word “Oliver” on my phone screen, a cold laugh escaped my lips.
