Jaxen reached out to take her phone and turned it off. With a faint smile, he said, “Don’t think too much about it. I’ll take you somewhere.”
“Yeah.
Eleanor knew that she was not in a good state. If Lily saw her, she would nag again.
She might as well find a place to calm down first.
The driver started the car and Jaxen glanced at Avery in the rearview mirror.
Avery found Elijah quietly drinking coffee in Nick’s office.
“Elijah, Miss Brown was taken away by Jaxen.”
Elijah narrowed his eyes and took out his phone to call Eleanor.
Her phone was switched off.
With a mechanical sound, the cup in Elijah’s hand cracked.
A dark glint flashed in his eyes, sending chills down one’s spine.
Nick glanced at him. “Anxious? Then why did you force her just now?”
Elijah threw the broken cup into the trash can, not bothering to explain anything.
Nick pointed at the folded sweater on the table. “You even gave her this sweater. This is your…”
“Are you very idle?” Elijah interrupted, picked up his sweater, and turned to leave.
It was already very late when they returned to the Davis manor.
Elijah stood in the courtyard and lit a cigarette.
Avery looked at the sky. “Elijah, it’s going to rain soon. Let’s go back inside.”
Elijah looked up at the dark clouds that covered the moonlight. He exhaled the white fog forcefully, but from the corner of his eye, he looked at a dark room in Logan’s house.
He took out his phone again, but Jaxen’s update status was displayed on the screen.
It was short. [Little lazy cat.]
A photo.
In the photo, Eleanor was hugging Jaxen’s arm and sleeping soundly on his shoulder. Even though there was a scar on the side of her exquisite face, it did not affect her beauty. Instead, it added to her beauty.
It was soft and tender, making one want to rub it into their bones and blood.

Elijah put away his phoneland took a deep pull of his cigarette. His eyes were darker than the dark night sky.
Fleanor was awakened by the sound of the rain.
She looked at the dim, warm little light above her head and rubbed her eyes.
“You’re awake? Have some water.”
Jaxen handed her a bottle of mineral water.
She took the water and said embarrassedly, “Jaxen, I’m sorry. I–fell asleep.”
Jaxen smiled. “I should be sorry. I wanted to bring you to this mountain to enjoy the starry sky, but it suddenly rained. We can’t see the stars, and the moon is covered.”
He pointed to the skylight overhead.
Eleanor looked at the dark night sky and laughed. “This looks pretty good.”
Feeling better?” As he spoke, Jaxen raised his hand and tucked the hair that Eleanor had pasted on her cheek behind her ear. He then gently stroked the scratches on her face and frowned slightly.
“You’re a girl. Don’t you know how to take care of yourself?”
His hand was warm and dry. It was a very comfortable touch temperature.
However, Eleanor felt a little uneasy. She moved her body slightly and covered her face. “The doctor said that I’m fine.”
“That’s good.” Jaxen did not ask further and changed the topic, It’s not easy to go down the mountain in the heavy rain. Let’s watch a movie for a while.”
“Okay.” Eleanor nodded in agreement. At least it was not as awkward.
Jaxen asked the driver to turn down the screen and especially played a comedy movie.
On a rainy day, watching a movie in the car was quite interesting-
Eleanor was amused by several plots as if those embarrassing scenes had been thrown to the back of her mind.
Halfway through the movie, the rain stopped.
Jaxen asked the driver to drive down the mountain.
Back at the Davis family, Jaxen sent her back to her house.
“Jaxen, thank you.” Eleanor thanked him.
“Since when do we stand on formalities, Eleanor? Don’t worry. Everything will be okay.” Jaxen raised his hand and patted her head.

Eleanor nodded and waved her hand before entering her house.
She tiptoed back to her rooms, but the lights turned on behind her.
“Finally decided to get back, huh?” Lily sat on the sofa with a resentful expression.
“Mom.”
Eleanor turned around. Lily screamed when she saw Elanor’s face.

“Oh! What’s wrong with your face? Since you were you, I’ve told you that you must protect your face. What if you leave a scar? I won’t let b*tch Zoey off”
“Alright, alright, it’s all in the past. The doctor also said that I’m fine. If I apply the medicine on time, it won’t leave a scar, Eleanor quickly interrupted Lily.
Lily was not Zoey’s match.
She did not want to tell Lily about Zoey threatening he
Lily heaved a sigh of relief after confirming that there would not be any scar. She lowered her eyes and saw the coat Eleanor was wearing-
She raised Eleanor’s arm and sized it up. “This is… Jaxen’s clothes. I saw him wearing them this morning.
You two are…
