I don’t mind, but don’t push yourself so hard next time Jaxen took the bag. “Let’s go. I’ll send you to the studio.”
“Okay.”
Because of some small interlude, Eleanor really couldnt make it to the subway.
Hence, she obediently got into Jaxen’s car.
The two chatted and laughed in the car, neither of them paying attention to the black figure walking into the garage.
“Elijah, isn’t that Miss Brown? Why are she and Jaxen…”
Elijah quietly retracted his gaze and coldly glanced at Avery
Avery did not dare to continue. He immediately opened the door and let Elijah get in.
Then, he handed the documents that needed handling today over to Elijah.
Avery said. “That person from Fairview Manor has never agreed to cooperate. He said that he wants to talk. to you face to face.”
“Ask her to tell us the time. Find out her preferences and prepare a gift. Elijah flipped through the documents without even looking up.
“Okay,” Avery continued, “there’s a project in Kapan that needs some negotiation. Who do you think should send?”
Elijah’s hand paused for a moment as he turned the page. “I’ve got the right person in mind.”

When they arrived at the company, the employees at work all respectfully gave way when they saw Elijah.
Elijah did not go to the office on the top floor but went straight to another department.
When he walked into the office, Jaxen was watering his plants.
“Elijah, why are you here? Please sit down.” He put down the watering can and smiled gently
“You’re not surprised I’m here.”
Elijah slowly sat down. His dark eyes were unfathomable, making it impossible to guess his intentions.
Jaxen asked his secretary to make coffee while he sat opposite Elijah and took out a lunchbox from a blue and white checkered bag.
“Elijah. I haven’t had breakfast yet. You don’t mind, do you?” He waved the lunchbox.
The pink lunchbox was especially eye–catching on the black coffee table.
It was very familiar.

Elijah did not look at him much. He lit a cigarette with calin expression and placed his hand holding the cigarette on the armrest, He looked at Jaxen through the white fog, his eyes faintly cold.
“Dig in,” Elijah said.
Jaxen opened the food box, and the fragrance instantly filled the entire ollice.
He raised the food box and said, “I didn’t expect Elean to plate it up like this. That little bear design? Adorable, right. Elijah?”
Eleanor was worried that a few omelets would be too shabby, so she made caviar sushi and styled them with seaweed.
Elijah glanced at the lunchbox and shook the ash from his cigarette. “Ugly”
“I think it’s pretty good.” Jaxen picked up his fork and was about to cat when his secretary delivered coffee to Elijah.
“Oh!”
Jaxen’s secretary felt as if she had been hit in the groin. She lost her balance and spilled all the coffee in her
hand on Jaxen and the lunch box.
Jaxen frowned.
The secretary quickly said, “I’m sorry, Jaxen. I didn’t do it on purpose”
At this moment, Elijah stubbed his cigarette into the ashtray.
“I’m looking for you to go on a trip to Kapan. The documents are here. Remember to read them.”
Jaxen glanced at the documents on his desk. “Alright.”
“I’m leaving.” Elijah left without looking back.
In the office, Jaxen took the handkerchief from the secretary’s hand with a gentle expression.
“Prepare for the business trip.”
“Okay.” The secretary got up and left the office.
Jaxen stared at the lunch box on the table, his eyes darkening.
In the elevator.
Avery toyed with the pebble in his hand.
“Elijah, you asked me to follow you just to…”
Yes?“

Thanks to Jaxen, Eleanor was not late. As soon as she finished checking in before she could be happy, she heard a voice that ruined the scene.
“Eleanor.” Julian was wearing a front desk uniform. She walked over with a smile.
“Are you the new receptionist?” Eleanor really admired Julian. In order to be Zoey’s lackey, she actually wasted an internship opportunity to come to the front desk.
How loyal.
Julian lowered her head bashfully, looking timid and aggrieved.
“Eleanor, are you looking down on me for being a receptionist? I think it’s my honor to be a receptionist in a studio as powerful as Ms. Whitney’s.
When Eleanor saw her look, she knew that without a doubt, someone important had just walked in behind
her.
Her eyes flickered as she grabbed Julian’s hand. “What are you talking about? We’re best friends. How can I look down on you? If you say that, it’ll seem like you’re looking down on yourself.
“Actually, let me tell you secretly. My first choice for my internship was Ms. Whitney’s studio. If I wasn’t chosen, I would be willing to be a cleaner here.”
As soon as she finished speaking, she heard the sound of high heels behind her. “Letting you be a cleaner makes me look like I don’t know what’s good for me.”
