It was only while walking that she noticed the surroundings were almost entirely women. Looking up, she realized they were in the gynecology department.
That wasn’t a big deal in itself. But the problem was, she spotted a familiar figure.
She saw Zoey.
Although Zoey was bundled up, Eleanor recognized her instantly. She could never forget that silhouette at
all.
But she didn’t know what Zoey was doing in the gynecology department.
By the time Eleanor looked again, Zoey was already gone.
Monica called out to her from ahead, snapping Eleanor out of her thoughts. Absentmindedly, she followed upstairs.
Eleanor thought that Zoey was merely passing through the gynecology corridor as a shortcut.
After going upstairs, Eleanor helped Monica settle in and wait for her follow–up checkup..
The specialist at this hospital was Monica’s friend, and she completely trusted him.
She preferred to wait rather than switch to a doctor at a private hospital.
While waiting for the results, Monica said she was thirsty.
Eleanor got up to buy her a drink. Wandering around, she eventually went downstairs again and happened to end up back at the entrance of the gynecology department.
Coincidentally, Eleanor happened to see Zoey clutching a piece of paper, hurrying into the innermost examination room.
She was really here to see a gynecologist.
Eleanor could not suppress her curiosity and quickly followed.

The doctor quickly changed the word pregnant on the medical record to periodic irregularity.
Then he pressed a new prescription slip over the original one.
“I prescribed the abortion medication under someone else’s name. You can pick it up at the pharmacy window. There won’t be any medical records left behind.”
“Alright. Zoey picked up the slip, put on her mask, and walked out.
The sound of high heels snapped Eleanor out of her daze. She quickly turned around and hid into a nearby examination room.
When the doctor in the consultation room heard her voice, he adjusted his glasses and glanced at her.
“Erica? Why are you still bouncing around if you’re pregnant? I’ve been calling your number for ages, and you didn’t come in.”

else.

As Eleanor shouted in frustration. the doctor hurriedly said, “I have other patients. You two, please leave.” Elihah grabbed Eleanor and pulled her out of the examination room.
Still in a daze, Eleanor found herself being dragged out of the room.
