Chapter 96 You’re Late
Would Zoey dare?
Of course not.
The more she explained, the more wrong she became.
If she did not explain, it would make people even more suspicious.

Zoey’s like a skewer over the fire right now–constantly being turned and roasted.
Eleanor looked at Lily curiously as she ate. “Why were the organizers suddenly exposed?”
Lily peeled the orange and snorted. “She must have offended someone and got screwed.”
“Who is it?”
“I don’t know, but the entire Internet knows about it in a short period of time. It’s probably because the contestants she offended in the past came from rich and powerful families.”
Lily mused as she casually placed a few orange slices on a small plate and slid it over to Eleanor.
Eleanor nodded and did not think too much about it.
After eating, Eleanor wanted to rest for a while. Lily was about to go out with a tray when she saw the ointment patch on the cabinet.
“Where did you get this? This thing is made by a famous doctor. It’s expensive and difficult to buy. You can’t buy it even if you have money. How can you have so much?”
“Well… the hospital gave it to me.”
Eleanor stared at the ointment sticker. She did not expect that something that looked ordinary would be so precious.
What is Elijah doing? Compensation for deleting Zoey’s evidence? she thought.
“Mom, take it all if you want, but lend me your foundation tomorrow. I’m going to Mandy’s Studio.”
“No problem. I’ll leave you a few patches of ointment, and I’ll take the rest to Logan.” Lily happily took it away.

The morning light was slightly bright, and the morning sun shone down. There was a fragrance mixed in with the cool wind.
Eleanor pulled on the high collar and quickly willked out of the Davis‘ manor.
She took the subway and arrived at Mandy’s studio more than an hour later.
A building shaped like a diamond gemstone stood tall on the artistic, culture–filled street.
Eleanor quickened her pace and was about to enter the building when she heard a call behind her.
“Eleanor.”
She turned around, and a woman in a black suit stopped in front of Eleanor.
“Do you still remember me? I’m Haven.”
The third place in the competition.
Eleanor nodded politely. “Yes. Hello.”
Haven tidied up her suit and her hair. “Thank you for giving up your seat to me last time.”
“It’s fine. It’s about time. Let’s go up first and talk later,” Eleanor said.
Eleanor looked at the time. She did not want to be just on time at work.
It was her first day as an intern, so she figured she should at least arrive ten minutes early to get familiar with everything.
“Yes.” Haven caught up with her and said excitedly, “Eleanor. Actually, I think your work is worthy of first place.”
Eleanor stopped and interrupted, “Haven, keep that thought to yourself from now on. Don’t say it again.”
Zoey was not as indifferent to fame and fortune as she appeared to be. She was very petty and could not tolerate anything.
But what they didn’t expect was… As soon as they finished speaking, the elevator door opened, and Zoey, who had come up from the underground parking lot, was inside.
Eleanor and Haven were stunned. She probably didn’t hear that, right?
Zoey’s makeup looked exquisite at first glance, but when one got closer, they would realize that it was actually a little heayy. The dark circles under her eyes were not covered much.

However, Zoey was very good at acting. After her gaze swept past Eleanor and landed on Haven, she immediately revealed a gentle smile
“Hello, Haven. I didn’t have a good chat with you during the competition. Elijah and I like your work very much.”
“Really? I should thank you, Miss Taylor, and Elijah.” Haven’s face lit up as she looked at Zoey.
“You’re welcome.”
She was talking to Haven, but her gaze was on Eleanor.
It was just a matter of understanding people’s desires–easy to manipulate.
When they walked out of the elevator, Haven immediately made way for Zoey. She even secretly said to Eleanor, “I didn’t expect Miss Taylor to be so nice.”
Eleanor opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but in the end, she didn’t.
The person who welcomed them was Mandy’s assistant, Bella.
Bella was dressed in a coffee–colored vest dress and four–inch high heels. She stood at the office door and looked at her watch sharply.
“You’re late.”
“Isn’t there ten minutes left?” Haven asked.
Bella raised her eyebrows. “Your timing is wrong Any questions?”
Haven’s face turned pale. Just as she was about to speak, Eleanor blocked her and immediately shook her head. “No, thank you for the reminder. We’ll be careful in the future.”
She knew Bella was asserting her authority.
There was no need to argue at this time.
Bella sized up Eleanor’s face and finally glanced at the intern’s badge on her chest. She mocked, “So you’re the Eleanor that Ms. Whitney praises so much.”
“I’m flattered.” Eleanor lowered her eyes modestly.
Bella snorted. “Ms. Whitney is on a business trip, so I’ll remind you to take note of some things. In our studio, no matter who you are, as long as you don’t do well, you have to get lost.”
